Matters to Us. Cape Town roots. Global impact.
When we launched House of Valkyrie, we knew we wanted more than just cute, comfortable. body-loving clothes. We wanted to change how clothes are made and who benefits from them.
We make every garment right here in Cape Town, South Africa. And not just because we love the view of Table Mountain from our workshop (although, we do). It’s about people. We work with local students who’ve completed their fashion studies many of them from NorthLink College-and offer them specialised training in the construction of underwear and intimate garments.
Our studio is a place where fresh talent gets deep hands-on experience, and where skill is nurtured, not exploited. That’s how we grow a stronger local economy—-by creating real jobs. developing craftsmanship and proving that South African fashion can hold its own on the global stage.
But it’s not just about where we manufacture.
It’s also how. We believe in slow fashion. That means we pay our team liveable wages, keep our supply chain transparent, and work with certified suppliers to make sure our bamboo fabric is as ethical as it is fabulous. The bamboo we use is 95% certified organic bamboo and 5% spandex-because stretch is comfort, and comfort is confidence.
We’re proud of every piece that leaves our studio–not just for how it looks, but for the care it represents. When you wear House of Valkyrie, you’re supporting a small team doing big things.
You’re helping local students become experts. You’re voting for sustainability, fairness, and future-forward design.
You’re choosing clothes with a conscience—-and honestly, that looks good on you.
