From Cape Town With Love: The Heartbeat Behind House of Valkyrie’s Bamboo Line

This isn’t fast fashion. It’s slow, soulful, and stitched with purpose.
At House of Valkyrie, every Green Panther garment is made right here in Cape Town, South Africa. We’re not outsourcing our values – we’re living them. That means we hire students who’ve just finished their courses (like from NorthLink College and others), and we give them real-deal experience: building deep knowledge in underwear and intimate garment construction, night here on home soil.

Why we do it this way?
For us, slow fashion isn’t just a hashtag. It’s a responsibility. We pay liveable wages. We’re committed to a fair, healthy supply chain. We make sure our fabric is certified (95% organic bamboo, 5% spandex), and we produce consciously because your comfort should never come at someone else’s expense.

And let’s not forget we’re proudly South African. We believe our local industry is full of untapped talent and incredible potential. By training up the next generation of garment makers, we’re helping grow our economy, one bamboo jogger at a time.

Sustainability you can feel good in.
Every time you put on our bamboo long sleeve top or slip into our buttery boy shorts, you’re wearing something made with care from the plant to the pattern to the person who stitched it.
Our sleepwear and underwear aren’t just comfy, it’s powerful. The T-shirts, crop tops, wide-leg pants, shorts, and joggers? All crafted by hands we know, from a community we love.
This is fashion with intention. Made for your skin, your schedule, and your conscience.
